Successfully completing the program prepares you for undergraduate study and provides you with full admission to a Bachelor’s degree program at the University of New Haven, both at the main campus in the U.S. and, pending final regulatory approvals, our campus in Riyadh.

- Qiyas 58% or

Required Application Materials
Students will be required to submit:
- High School Diploma and Transcripts
- Qudrat score (if available)
- Tahsili score (if available)
- English language certificate
- Government ID
All academic transcripts submitted will be converted to the U.S. 4.0 GPA scale by the Admissions Office and must meet a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Program Tuition
The cost for the Pre-University Program is up to SAR56,256 + VAT, payable in advance.
Pricing is based upon the full program. A waiver policy is in place to enable students that already meet certain academic requirements to test out of either Academic English or Mathematics. Pricing is reduced for those that successfully test out.
About the Program
Structure of the Pre-University Program
Program Format and Duration
- All instruction is provided in English.
- Three 8-week terms, plus summer term if required.
- The program requires full-time study: up to 24 classroom hours per week.
- Sunday through Thursday classes.
Program Curriculum
- Academic English – Reading, writing, listening, speaking, academic vocabulary.
- Mathematics – Pre-algebra to applied algebra, data & functions, quantitative reasoning.
- Academic Preparedness – Critical thinking, digital literacy, research and presentation skills.
- Design Thinking Applying AI – Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving with technology

Pre-University Preparatory Course Descriptions
Academic English
Students will be provided with a comprehensive, Academic English Program preparing them to enter a U.S. undergraduate degree program taught entirely in English. This will include Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills. Students must achieve an IELTS Score of 6.0 as part of the requirements to be admitted to the University of New Haven.
Mathematics
Students will be provided with a solid foundation in elementary mathematics preparing them for the study of Algebra. This preparatory course will prepare you students for College Math and College Algebra. The course covers a review of the real number system, fundamental math operations, quantitative reasoning, solving equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations and solving systems of linear equations and a study of exponents and polynomials.
Academic Preparedness
Students will be provided with a set of skills and competencies that will better ensure their success in an undergraduate degree program including time management, critical thinking, research literacy, and academic integrity. The college educational experience requires more independent learning outside of the classroom. These academic skills will assist students in organizing and pursuing their studies in a way that will optimize their individual potential for success.
Design Thinking Applying AI
Students will be introduced to interdisciplinary strategies and methodologies of a Design Thinking Approach that integrates AI and prepares them for majors across business and digital innovation. Topics include the basics of design principles, scenario building, visual thinking, creative brainstorming, and AI tools, as well as ethics and responsibility within the innovation and design process. The experience culminates with the use of Design Thinking for the purpose of developing a product or process that addresses a well specified problem.
Final Comprehensive Examination (End of Term 3)
- Academic English: Research essay and oral presentation.
- Math: Applied algebra and problem-solving exam.
- Academic Preparedness: Portfolio review and oral defense.
- Design Thinking Applying AI: Present a product or process addressing a well-specified problem.
Successful Completion and Exit Criteria and Admission into the University of New Haven
- IELTS 6.0 equivalent in English.
- Minimum 70% in Mathematics, Academic Preparedness, and Design Thinking Applying AI
- Minimum Pre-University Program of GPA of 2.5 across all subjects.
Students that do not successfully complete the Program will be provided with specific feedback and offered additional time in the program of up to one year focusing on their areas for improvement for additional tuition.
